Erik Wolpert, PT
is a Partner and Regional Director of Vargo Physical Therapy as well as the director at the Valencia Vargo PT clinic. As a licensed Physical Therapist, Erik has been with Vargo PT since the clinic opened its doors in 2002 and through its expansion in 2009. He enjoys the daily challenge of helping each of his patients work toward success in their rehabilitation process. As a sports physical therapist, he has worked with a wide variety of patients from the young to the elderly and has done a significant amount of work with multiple sports clubs and local high school and collegiate athletes.
Mr. Wolpert earned his bachelor’s degree in health science/physical therapy from California State University, Northridge. Prior to coming to Vargo PT Mr. Wolpert worked at the UCLA Medical Center. Before that he travelled throughout the United States as a contract physical therapist. As a specialist in hip rehabilitation, he authored the article “A Rite of Passage: Surviving Initiation to the ICU” which appeared in Acute Care Perspectives. He also co-authored a chapter in Hip and Pelvis Injuries in Sports Medicine, a medical textbook. He is an ASTYM certified clinician and holds a certificate in CPR.
Married to a physical therapist, Mr. Wolpert has two daughters. When not with his family, he enjoys golf, hiking, recreational sports, exercising and traveling.

Kenneth Kauffman, PT, MPT
is the Assistant Director at the Valencia Vargo PT clinic. He is a licensed physical therapist and has been with Vargo PT since 2007. In addition to helping to manage the Valencia clinic he works daily to evaluate and treat patients, having cared for hundreds of orthopedic injuries.
Mr. Kauffman received his bachelor’s degree with magna cum laude status
in kinesiology with an emphasis in exercise science from California State University, Northridge. Later he received his master’s degree in physical therapy from the same university. Mr. Kauffman is an ASTYM Certified Clinician and is also CPR certified.
Mr. Kauffman is married with two children. In his free time he enjoys playing with his kids, hiking, working out and gardening.
Nicole Venezia, PT, DPT
is a licensed physical therapist at the Valencia Vargo Physical Therapy clinic.
Dr. Venezia graduated from California State University, Northridge with her doctorate in physical therapy. Her clinical experience includes physical therapy internships in the orthopedic and acute settings at Verdugo Hills Hospital, Henry Mayo Hospital and Glendale Adventist Therapy and Wellness Center. She is also CPR certified.
Dr. Venezia is passionate about working with patients from young to the elderly to help maximize their function. She uses evidence based practices and techniques to achieve patient goals aimed at improving mobility and strength, eliminating pain and restoring function.
Dr. Venezia is engaged to be married and enjoys spending time with her fiancé, reading, working out and caring for her dog.
Debbie Wolpert, PT
has been a licensed Physical Therapist with the Valencia Vargo PT clinic for more than 10 years. With more than 18 years of experience she has treated virtually every type of patient in her tenure as a physical therapist from professional athletes to those recovering from traumatic brain injury.
Ms. Wolpert holds two bachelor’s degrees, the first in exercise physiology and the second in health science/physical therapy. Both degrees were earned at California State University, Northridge. Prior to joining Vargo PT, she was a physical therapist at the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital where she was honored as the Patient Care Employee-of-the-Year in 1999.
Before that Ms. Wolpert travelled for two years as a contract physical therapist practicing in seven different states. Her other clinical experience includes work at the Northridge Medical Center, the Centinela Hospital’s Fitness Institute, Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, Kaiser Sunset and other outpatient physical therapy clinics.
Ms. Wolpert has conducted a number of health-related lectures in the community. An active member of the community Ms. Wolpert serves on the Newhall School District Oversight Committee as well as the Palacerita Junior High Foundation Board and the Hart High School District Parent Communication Council. She is a founding member of the Santa Clarita Master Chorale and a member of the Santa Clarita Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Wolpert is married to a physical therapist and has two daughters. Her hobbies include spending time with her family, travel, running, recreational sports, hiking and singing.
